The company was founded by Slaven Zivkovic, an entrepreneur with a history of innovations in the library and educational arena. The first webmaster at Orradre Library at Santa Clara University, Slaven went on to co-found Docutek Information Systems, which created the industry's first electronic reserve system, ERes. He also led the development of one of the first virtual reference systems on the market, VRLplus.

Our applications are setting new standards for library-related social and web 2.0 apps. We were the first commercial library software platform with a Facebook app, the first to integrate Twitter into our web applications, and we continue to innovate and integrate the latest technologies into our products.
