About Springshare

Our mission is to develop practical, affordable, and useful web 2.0 applications built specifically for libraries and educational institutions. Why should others have all the fun?

As avid users and early adopters of web 2.0, we got the idea for Springshare upon realizing there were few web 2.0 applications built specifically to be used in the classroom or in the library. Springshare tools fill that void. We have 40 years of combined experience working with libraries and educational institutions. We love working with our clients to develop web tools that help educators get the information to the people who need it.

Slaven Zivkovic, Chief Springy

Slaven is an entrepreneur with a history of library innovations. The first webmaster at Orradre Library at Santa Clara University, Slaven went on to co-found Docutek Information Systems, which created the industry's first electronic reserve system, ERes. He also led the development of one of the first virtual reference systems, VRLplus.

Marc Bertone, Chief Techie

Marc helped develop the LibGuides system and is in charge of Springshare technology. After graduating from Santa Clara University with a Computer Engineering degree, Marc started his professional career at Docutek, where he was the lead developer of the ERes electronic reserves application. Over the past 8 years thousands of librarians (literally) have come to depend on Marc's technical wizardry and problem-solving skills.

Mazen Khoury, Chief Sales Guy

Mazen is in charge of Springshare's sales and marketing activities. After starting his career in finance, Mazen found his true calling as the sales manager at Docutek. He helped bring ERes and VRLplus products to over 500 libraries worldwide. Mazen has been working closely with libraries for 10 years, helping them identify and acquire internet products that bring libraries and patrons closer together.
