The Library Community has been very good to us. We love working with libraries and librarians so we are giving something back - a free version of LibCal. Our intro tier (3 calendars, 3 schedulers, 3 rooms to book) comes completely free - no gimmicks, no feature limitations. So, sign up today and start using LibCal.

If you would like your LibCal site to use a custom domain (ex: libcal.myschool.edu), please enter that value into the "domain" field below and then ask your IT folks need to create a CNAME alias in your internal and external DNS servers that points that domain to "libcal.com".

If you do not wish to use a custom domain or if your IT group is unable to create the necessary DNS record for you, please leave the "domain" option blank in the form below and we will assign you a *.libcal.com address based on the domain of your school / library.

Free Version FAQ

1. Is it really free? What's the catch?
LibCal 3/3/3 tier is really free, and there is no catch. All features which are available in paid price tiers are available in the free tier as well.

2. If I don't need more than 3/3/3 will I ever have to pay for LibCal?
No. It is free, forever!

3. Can I use 1 Calendar and 1 Scheduler but 7 Room Bookings, for free (or any combo thereof)?
No. Behind the scenes, LibCal is built with the equal number of Calendars, Schedulers, and Room Bookings, so if you need 7 Room Bookings (or, it could also be 7 Calendars, or 7 Schedulers) you need to upgrade to the next tier, i.e. a paid version.

4. If I start with the 3/3/3/ free tier, can I upgrade easily?
Yes. Just contact us at sales@springshare.com and we'll make it happen.

5. Is Custom Domain Mapping also free?
Custom Domain Mapping (CDM) is free for the single instance version. CDM is a service we offer for all our products, and it usually costs $60/year. It enables you to have a custom "yourinstitution.edu" (or .net/.org) domain for LibCal.

If you are upgrading to a paid version and wish to keep CDM, a $60/year charge will apply. As long as you stay on the free version, the CDM is free as well.
