Provide help to patrons on any webpage! LibAnswers' customizable widgets combine knowledge base searching (with auto suggest), real-time chat (LibChat), and question submission form all in one simple widget. Even better? One-click widget integration into LibGuides.

LIBCHAT WORKS ON ANY DEVICE, ANYWHERE

Embed chat widgets for individual librarians or department queues on any webpage & your patrons can chat with you wherever they are, on any device. LibChat isn't Flash-based, so it works on all smartphones and tablets. And since it's fully integrated into the LibAnswers workflow, librarians get notifications of incoming questions, emails, and TXT messages right in the librarian chat window. Full chat statistics and transcripts are included too.

PATRONS GET THE ANSWERS THEY NEED

The knowledge base is at the heart of the LibAnswers platform. It's like a super-smart FAQ that grows smarter with every new answer. If the patron doesn't find an answer, they can chat with a librarian right then & there or submit their question via a customizable form. This ensures that patrons will get the answer they need, either online or offline.

LIBANSWERS DOES EMAIL REFERENCE TOO

Assign any number of email addresses (e.g. reference@yourschool.edu, questions@yourlibrary.org, etc) to LibAnswers, and the system monitors the mailboxes for you. Answer through the LibAnswers interface & the system automatically collects detailed statistics. Go ahead, you can say it's magic. We won't disagree.

SMS/TXT-ING, AND TWITTER? WE'VE GOT IT

Our SMS module assigns a local phone number to your library (no short codes to share with others), so patrons can text their questions & you can text back answers. With the SMS Keywords feature, patrons can get automatic replies to common questions like hours, parking, etc. LibAnswers can also fetch tweets sent to your Twitter account and (you guessed it!) you answer through the LibAnswers interface.
